hypothyroidism?

does anyone have hypothyroidism or had it? I'm pretty sure I have it my moms whole side of her family has it and I have almost all the symptoms and I have had them since I was in high school but I always got diagnosed with other things and I'm gonna go get my thyroid checked but Im curious about what the treatments like and how it affects you and how soon it starts to affect you

I have it caused by hashimotos. If you have it, after you start treating it you should start to feel better after 2 or 3 weeks. If you change your diet, that can also help symptoms. When I was diagnosed, I googled a bunch of different diets that would help me feel better and the paleo diet helped me the most. (I changed my diet after I started taking levothyroxine.) Mostly because I cut out processed foods. It’s basically a lifestyle change.

I was diagnosed with Hashimotos Disease back in November & I’ve been on Synthroid ever since. Increasing the dose monthly. Finally got normal levels at 112mcg daily. My hair is growing faster, my nails grow longer & I’ve lost almost 80 pounds. It’s insane how much better I feel! Hoping we’re one step closer to our first baby 😍
