Why did he ghost me?

I met this guy when he was assigned to be my partner for my friend’s quince court. I didn’t like him at first, thought he was the playboy type, but then he put in a lot of effort to get my attention and I was into it. We had a lot of bumps in the road bc he’s a bad communicator, he’d always get his friend to talk to me for him, she’s the one that asked me if I found him attractive and gave him the okay to shoot his shot with me, basically. Anyways, when it was all said and done and the party was over so I no longer saw him at rehearsals, we didn’t talk for a week until he messaged me on Snapchat, he made some excuse to talk to me, so I knew he was still interested. He’s 15 so he plays a lot of games, he’d wait about 45 minutes before texting back, so conversation didn’t take us very far. One night though, he was playing a game on his story, and it was one of those question games where you pick a random letter or number and it’s assigned to a question you don’t know yet. I happened to get the sex question. I kept it real, I told him I didn’t want to have sex with someone unless I was in a relationship with them. I just can’t see myself doing casual... and he left me on read. No messages for three days, and suddenly I’m unfriended on his snap. His story is public so I could see he wasn’t seeing anyone else, simply with family, but I’m in the dark. For reference, I’m 17. He originally told me he was 17 though before realizing I liked him and opening up about his true age.
