Metformin for ovulation assistance.

I start Metformin in a couple of days because we have been TTC for a couple years with no luck. We found out I have PCOS in 2016. We also found out in August of 2017 that I do not ovulate whatsoever. Tried the weight loss, diet change, etc. So now it's on to pills. What scares me is that both of my parents take Metformin for diabetes, I don't have diabetes yet and don't plan to, but will taking Metformin cause my body to change insulin production and induce diabetes at an early age? Also, has anyone else taken Metformin for ovulation/infertility assistance? What were your reactions to it? Did it help you ovulate? Thank you! 💜🌹
