When to schedule first doc appointment?

When did you schedule your first doctor appointment? I’m 4wks 6days, AF due 5/15(obv she’s not coming lol). Do you want a week until after your missed period or just call now to schedule?

I would call and schedule right away. OBs then to be booked out awhile so better to schedule now.

I went to my doctor this morning and had my bloodwork drawn because I had a positive on a digital. Dr normally wants you to make an appointment for 6 or 7 weeks. Mine may want me sooner because of me having lost every one before this one.

We found out last Tuesday we were pregnant with hpts and I called to schedule same day. I have blood work scheduled in the morning with my PCP to confirm but my OB won't see me until June 4th when I'm closer to 8 weeks. Definitely call and schedule soon! 💜

Depends on your doctors office, mine won’t see before 8 weeks as hard to see heartbeat before that.

When I got my BFP I called my OB and let them know I had a positive home pregnancy test and they scheduled me for my 8 week mark, they (and one other office I called) do not see patients until at least their 8 week mark. They do an ultrasound the first appt so I understand why they have it that way

Call Asap! They are always so booked ! I called at 4 weeks and when my appointment comes I'll be a little over 9 weeks.

I got my bfp on Saturday and called today, even though my period isn’t due until tomorrow. 
If I need to cancel the appointment for whatever reason, I can easily, and this way I don’t have to wait even longer before getting confirmation labs done (they won’t even do those for another two weeks for some reason!)
