So my hubby built a large sandbox in our backyard for my toddler and filled it with sand he bought from Lowe’s. What could be harmful about that? Since then I’ve been receiving all kinds of warnings from other moms, everything from the fact that cat waste can be deadly to my child and that the sand itself contains cancer causing carcinogens and we need to purchase expensive cancer-free sand?! 😳 Anyone familiar with these concerns and how legit they are? I will be getting a tarp to cover it to keep animals out but can cat waste really be deadly?
