Converting?

Hello I was born into the catholic religion but ive always seen Islam as possibly the most beautiful thing and idk I’ve never spoken about it to anyone but if anybody can maybe share a thought it would be much appreciated someone please enlighten me 😊💓

Hello sister :) lovely to hear you are thinking about Islam. I am also a convert and have never been so happy as I have been since becoming Muslim. There is so much to learn but take your time and don’t be afraid to ask questions. There is a nice community here on Glow, but also try to talk to someone in person if you can. I know from experience, going in to a mosque can be daunting alone, but perhaps there is another way you could meet Muslim women depending on where you live? If it helps, I write a blog about my life as a Muslim convert. You can read it if you like but I am also very happy to talk via email on my contact page if you need someone to share experiences with. As I said though, please do ask questions and don’t be nervous to ask even if they sound silly to you - there really are no silly questions!!

Oh yes. Islam is the most beautiful religion! I would suggest you to find a mosque near where you live and schedule a meeting with someone and ask them anything you want to know.

I have also been thinking about Islam. I am in a relationship with my partner of 3 years Who is Muslim but not what you would say practising. I am nervous to bring this up with him as I do not know how he would react. Also nervous about family around me. Any advice would be so appreciated. X

This is a great short video on YouTube - a discussion between and pastor and a sheikh discussing Islam, the pastor gets to ask questions he's been curious about and it's a great discussion - thought it could be helpful as you're coming from a Catholic/Christian background 😊
