I got my Paragard IUD in on December 27 2017. Since then I have had 4 periods. The first one was 5 days and definitely heavier than normal but I think it was still kinda short because I was still being very much affected by the hormones from nexplanon (which I had taken out) the three I’ve had since then were 6-7 days and very heavy. I can deal with the heaviness but it’s the length I don’t like; my periods used to be 3 days. I’ve read about some people saying their periods got shorter/lighter after having Paragard for 6ish months (which I’m praying for), has anyone experienced this? And if your periods stayed long/heavy did you do anything (like take a supplement) to make them not as bad/did it work?
