HELP:: best form of birth control?

Question

background story: I am 19 yrs old and have started to become sexually active. I scheduled an appointment at my local health department to get on birth control. I do not have a boyfriend so I am so scared of getting pregnant.
please explain your favorite form of birth control and why? I would like to have an idea of my options before my appointment. At the moment, I am aiming more towards the pill but the one inserted for 5 years would be great too. Is it painful?

I like the combination pill (estrogen and progestin, levels determined by my doctor)
I like that it allows me to know exactly what day my period should be expected.  No birth control is 100% effective and I don’t want to be guessing if my period is late or not.  It also tames my period in every aspect; my flow is lighter, my cramps are barely there and they’re actually a nice little  sign that my period will come within the next hour or so, and my boobs don’t hurt as badly.  Personally I haven’t had any side effects. 
The only down side is remembering to take it every day but I just have an alarm set for 9pm titled “💊 you don’t wanna get pregnant, remember?”  It’s not hard for me to remember to take it because its a huge priority to avoid getting pregnant for me so ya not a big deal 🤷🏽‍♀️ the pill is so small I don’t even need to wash it down. I'm getting an IUD tomorrow because they're so reliable and last for a long time. The thing about birth control is that your body needs about 6 months to adjust. I know people who got the IUD and the first 6 months they hated it, once their body adjusted, they say it's the best thing they've ever done. So I just recommend going into any method with an open mind and don't give up 1 month in. It might be great for you, but your body just isn't used to it yet.

I would recommend the IUD depending on which one you get they can last 3-10 years and it’s one of the most effective forms of bc, they put it in and you don’t have to worry about it it can be painful to have it inserted but it only last for a couple minutes, just remember most birth controls can’t protect you from stds so always remember to have your partner wear a condom :)

Most important thing is to be aware of how your body reacts to any kind of hormonal birth control. I had no issues on the pill for 10years. Somewhere in between I tried the ring which was fine, but I preferred the pill. I also tried the implant at one stage and a year in I went back to my Dr begging him to remove it. It turned me batshit crazy. In saying that I know many people who love the implant. Everyone will have Good and bad experiences with anything. Just try what you want to and listen to what your body tells you.

It all depends on what your body can handle... a few girls I know are getting their IUD removed because it has caused them great pain and some bleeding
