When I was like 11 years old and our parents first started telling us about shaving our armpits
I suddenly got really aware and self-conscious of every hair on my body
and one day i shaved my arms because i thought we were supposed to shave everywhere
i remember the next day in PE a girl i didn’t know brushed up against me and felt my arm stubble.. she was like “did you shave your ARMS?”
i was so embarrassed i denied it and  felt like shit the whole rest of the day. never again. :) i’m 27 now and that horrible day still lives on in my memory

Yesssss I'm portguese and Spanish so my arm hair is super dark and thick. I started shaving them in 5th grade. I've been shaving them everyday for so long I can't even imagine them hairy now

I had super dark arm hair as a kid. My mom refused to let me shave them. Then one day she busted up laughing at how hairy they were. She waxed an i into my arm then ran out of strips so I’ve been shaving ever since.
