Do you judge those that speak a language that isn't related to their culture?

Personally I think its beneficial. I really wish we focused on different languages when I was younger. I don't judge anyone, but I do think its beneficial. Right now I'm in the midst of teaching my oldest son ASL and Spanish. He has a higher risk of being hard of hearing or deaf and it can develop later on in life. I don't want to feel like we're playing catch up if it does occur. Plus there's no harm in him learning. I also want him being connected to the cultures he comes from, especially from his father's side since him nor his family is here to immerse him in that. Not that his dad would even if he could.
