I can’t swallow pills, and I’ve been on the shot every three months one and it make my periods very irregular and disgusting whenever I did have one.

I’m on nexplanon the rod Implant in your arm.. LOVEEEEE. Only issue I had was a little weight gain the in the first two months. But that’s it. I have no period, no spotting, nothing.

I just got an IUD a few hours ago after stressing about the pain of getting one for 2 years. Well, 2 years of worrying and it didn't even hurt. It was like pressure. I'd give it maybe 4/10 for pain/discomfort. I have worse period cramps all the time. I got it because it's so effective and lasts 5 years!

if you want to go non hormonal but as effective as hormonal i would look into the copper IUD. the catch is that it might make periods heavier for the first few months but other than that no hormones which is a huge plus IMO.
