When to start buying?? 🛍

I am currently 12 weeks with my 2nd. Had my scan yesterday and baby is perfect. I just purchased a steriliser set as it was half price and now wondering if it’s a bit early? I can’t remember when I started buying for my 1st as I was so paranoid of jinxing the pregnancy. 
When did you mummy’s start purchasing?

I thought the same thing but my husband was the one who started getting baby stuff months before I was even pregnant get things like The cribs stroller car seat the big expensive things I don’t think it’s a bad idea to start purchasing them out that way you’re not breaking your wallet at the end of the day trying to buy everything a month before the baby gets here

I'm 11 weeks. I'm struggling with not buying things when I see them at incredible markdowns. so far I've limited it to some gender neutral bodysuits that were about $1 each from Carter's and a baby gym that was $16 today at Wal-Mart (normally, around $50). Anything else we have right now were freebies. I dont really want to buy a bunch of stuff right now as we haven't cleaned up the room yet. but I also don't want to do mass shopping in the end.

I started buying little stuff here and there from 8 weeks lol. Babies are expensive and getting things a head of time will lessen the load at the end of the pregnancy when it’s all needed. Just remember, if you plan on having a baby shower you will get stuff there too. I was buying stuff that you can never have enough of.. or things that most people don’t get for a shower

I started buying little things while we were TTC. At 8 weeks, I’ve already bought a few cloth diapers, a diaper bag, some toys, and lots of clothes. And we’re going stroller shopping tomorrow. I’d rather start buying early and space out all the big purchases instead of waiting until closer to the end and having to scramble to get everything. I’ve gone to the doctor twice and had an ultrasound and everything looked great, so I’m not too worried anymore.

I didn't start buying, but everyone started giving me hand me down stuff as soon as we announced. (I know a lot of young mom's with kids who have outgrown their clothes, etc) Buying early can be good so you stretch out the expense, however, I highly recommend keeping things in their boxes, tags on clothes, and hanging on to receipts! At least until you are further along. That way if you get a duplicate item at a shower or decide you don't really need something, you can return it. Oh yeah, now is the time to start stocking up on diapers and wipes as they go on sale. Buy diapers in more than one size. I got multiple sizes of diapers at my showers and I can't tell you how helpful it was to have size 2 on hand the day I suddenly realized size 1 was too small!

I'm 28 weeks and really haven't started buying. We did buy the crib, rocker and swing at 27 weeks. My mom and SIL's have got some clothes and the car seat. But I personally am waiting until 30 weeks. We are building on to our house and it will be done then. So I'll start buying more then. Anyways most people I know didn't really start buying until they knew the sex.
