Do low dose pills really work?

My doctor prescribed me lo loestrin fe (which if anyone doesn't know is a low dose bc pill). I've recently heard through the grape vine that low dose pills don't work. Is that just bullshit propaganda or is it true? What's your experience with low dose pills?

I’ve been on Ortho Tri Cyclen, a form of low dose, and it has 100% worked. My boyfriend and I don’t use any other form of contraception and we haven’t had any scares and no babies! I really love it, makes my periods extremely predictable, cleared my acne, and much more. Only side effect is that I’m more emotional on my period

I was on the same pill for a long time and it definitely worked!! Believe me, if I wasn’t on it I should’ve gotten pregnant a hundred times if you get what I’m saying lol and it gave me the least to non amount of side effects compared to other pills I’ve been on.

I'm on a low dose birth control called ortho tri cyclen and it works great so far. the only side effect I noticed was headaches the first month and my boobs got bigger but that's it
