Ovulating after BF for 1 year

I think I’m experiencing anovulation, (periods without ovulation) periods and cycle lengths are all over the place from 40-20 days but I’ve been breastfeeding and pumping religiously for a year.

We are ttc #2 so I started tracking again, and thought since I was weaning my 1 year old maybe this month would be the month, but we BD every day during my window, and here comes AF 2 days early.

How long after weaning or bf did anyone start ovulating again? I have two friends who got pregnant while breastfeeding, my own mom even got pregnant with my brother while feeding me! So just looking to get an idea if anyone else thinks they are having a similar issue.

I’ll probably start ovulation tests this month. Good luck ladies! 💕
