What are the differences between the different versions of the Bible?

I am seeking the Lord and want to know scripture. Which version should I read and why?
I started reading the new King James Version

My personal favorite is the ESV, and close second is the NIV. The Message puts things in an interesting perspective since it’s a paraphrase instead of a true translation and the NLT is similar in that it is a very accessible version of the Bible. While the differences are minor, I don’t often use the KJV or NKJV because of numerous inconsistencies and add-ons from the original text. In my research, both of those are the most inaccurate, though again, the main message is still the exact same. Overall, I don’t have a specific version to suggest, but I do suggest reading many versions. They can provide really interesting perspective when you dive in deep.
