My oldest’s middle name is a family name, but even if it wasn’t, I would have used it anyways because I love it! My twins don’t have family middle names, we just chose what we loved! It definitely took the pressure off, and I’m a firm believer middle names should be loved as much as first names, not only tolerated because they are a family name.

My parents gave me my mom's middle name. I'm second born.  my in-laws gave their second born his father's middle name.
