Do you love cooking from scratch and hate instant pots?

I don't like the idea of dumping  stuff in a pot and leaving the pressure cooker to do all the work.  I actually like tasting and stove top cooking.  Dumping stuff in a pot and walking away isn't fun for me.

How are instant pots not cooking from scratch?  this poll sounds like it was made by someone who has no concept of what an instant pot can actually do.  you absolutely can cook from scratch with an instant pot.  it's not like a microwave where you put a prepackaged and cooked 'meal' into and heat it up.  the poll is lame.

The instapot _is_ cooking from scratch. People have used pressure cookers for ages. It’s just a new technology, much easier than the stove top pressure cooker. It’s not a microwave. It just uses trapped steam to increase the boiling point.

I love cooking on the stove but having a crock pot dish can be made from scratch as well.. when you have a full day, 2 little ones, a greedy husband and not much time left the crock pot saves lives girl!

I do a combination of both. I'm Hispanic so I've been self taught to cook since 9. While I'm grateful that I can cook from scratch, let's be realistic. I have 6 kids and pregnant with my final 7. I have no problems wanting to spare my sanity by throwing together chicken and dumplings or chili in a crockpot or use my rice cooker as opposed to cooking it on the stove only to have more of a mess to clean. I love cooking period though whether it's a shortcut way or cooking a homecooked meal.

My mom got us one and I don't touch it lol my hubby has figured it out. It's nice for hot days and when we forget to plan supper lol

I constantly get burned so I’m scared of the instant pot because I do not want to get burned or the steam that comes out of the top so they work good scared of them
