Where do you keep your butter?

I was recently told I'm a crazy person for having my butter on the couner, in a dish. 🤷‍♂️ I also keep 2 in the fridge for back up/cooking with and the rest in the freezer (usually the Costco pack size). I like my butter soft enough to spread easy. Guess that makes me loony.

I’m with you. I prefer it room temperature because then you don’t actually have to struggle to make some toast

I keep mine in the fridge mostly because Alabama is too hot to keep butter out 😅 but I know that it’s a totally normal thing to keep it on the counter. Here if I wanted room temp butter I’d just put it in the microwave for a few seconds or plan ahead to leave some out to warm up to room temp

Who EVER needs cold butter? When you put it on bread, or something, you want it to be easy to spread. When you bake, they want soft butter.

If it’s a tub of butter we keep it in the fridge, the sticks of butter we keep in a butter dish on the counter. Otherwise it’s too cold to spread.

I can break out in a sweat just walking around my house here in the summer (I live in Alabama) so I keep mine in the refrigerator. We also don’t use a lot of butter so we dont have any reason to leave it out.
