Charcoal for teeth whitening - does it work?

Has anyone used charcoal for teeth whitening, and did it work?
If so what did you use? All these other whitening products you can buy make me nervous bc it seems like they’re all damaging to the enamel.

It’s good for removing surface stains. Long term use isn’t recommended but super long term use of anything usually isn’t recommended for some reason or another.

I bought charcoal capsules and broke them open over the sink. Kind of messy, but I noticed a difference. Don’t do it every day.

I use a charcoal toothpaste and I've seen a huge difference. There are two brands at Walmart, Hello and My Magic Mud.

I haven’t tried it personally, but every other charcoal beauty product I have tried makes a black mess of everything.
