What do I do?

Question mamas I have my 7 month old, who hasn’t had a bowel movement for like 5-6 days? Is that something to be concerned about? Getting concerned myself... any tips?

My son poops every 1-3 days and it’s usually like play-do that’s started to harden it’s not smooth at all I occasionally give him apple juice with water. I tried half and half and that helped only a little so now when I mix it I do 3 ounces apple juice 1 ounce water and that makes it so much easier on him. I haven’t tried a suppository but I do know someone who used one on her daughter and she started pooping before they even shut her diaper and she nearly had a blow out so I’ll only do that in extreme measures lol apple juice is doing the trick for me.

I try half and half water and apple juice, an ounce, if he hasn’t gone in a day or so. It always makes him go within the next few hours. Or give him more water with solids, when mine rejects sippy cup and regular cups I sometimes use a straw. I dip the straw in water and cover it with my fingertip, than drop the water into his mouth like a little baby bird 😊
My big trick though...If I know he’s backed up and it’s too late in the day for apple juice, I sometimes use a Windy (by Frida baby). It’s this little tube we used to use for helping baby pass gas around 2-3 months. You put some Vaseline on the tip and stick it up their rear and wait a few seconds. It helps gas pas through the tube but also stimulates their reflexes to push it out and poop usually comes out too. Well I had extra in a drawer and tried it a couple months later when he was backed up and out comes some gas and then poop too after a minute or two of inserting and pausing and trying again. So I do that a couple times a month now when a new solid food has him all backed up and he really needs to go. 
I haven’t checked with my doc about this, but surely it’s fine because I know sometimes they recommend sticking a thermometer up their rear end when they’re backed up. It stimulates the muscles to push it out and then out comes the gas and poop too!

We had this issue when we were in Hawaii, I think because of dehydration and the hot weather. Our doctor told us to use a baby suppository after 7 days without poop (Pedialax). When you use it, beware, she pooped for like 5 straight minutes within 20 seconds of us using it.

Yes, my doctor said  once it exceeds 4 days you should take them to the doctor. This can cause serious issues if you don’t.
