Tattoo for friend that passed

So I was best friends with this girl who lived next door to me from 8th grade to junior year. Like literally spent every day with her before and after school. We went through the death of her mom together and I was bullied and she was the only person that was there for me. She was the best friend to me. I loved her dearly. We drifted apart because she got into partying and drugs and I didn’t. We always cared about each other though and were still there for each other when things got tough. She passed away in October. So we hadn’t been best friends for about 2 years. I was and still am devastated over it. I want to live my life for her and keep her close in my heart always. I want to do things she’ll never be able to do in her honor. I think about her every single day. I am really considering getting a tattoo in her honor. Sunflowers were her favorite flower. I just want a piece of her with me. I want y’alls opinions if it’s weird to get a tattoo for her since we weren’t close for 2 years?
