So out of no where tonight around 730, my water broke. No signs of labour, no contractions etc, just broke. I had a spinal fusion 3 years ago and I repeatedly asked my back surgeon before I got the surgery if I would be able to get an epidural if I were to have another baby. He assured me it would be fine and I’d absolutely be able to have one. Fast forward to now......I just met with the anesthesiologist and he legit scared the shit out of me with getting an epidural. He had zero bedside manor and when I asked his professional opinion about getting one, he responded with I can’t make that decision for you, but I have partners who wouldn’t even go near you with the hardware in your back. I’m so scared to get an epidural now and I’m so scared of the pain from not getting one. I tried to go natural when I had my daughter and made it to 7 cms and couldn’t take it anymore and got the epidural (this was before my spinal fusion.

I just need some encouragement and some prayers to get through this pain without getting the epidural. Also, if you’re a mamma who has gone through the whole birthing process all natural, I would love any and all tips to get through the pain. Thanks girls!
