Baby eating more at night?

My baby is 1 week old and will go 4 hours during the day feeding but at night she is up every 1.5-2hrs. With my son he was only up every 4 hours day and night. It’s exhausting!

Super common! They usually have their days and nights mixed up! Try and keep baby awake and stimulated more during the day so they are more tired at night! Usually takes 2 weeks to get it under control!

Mine just got over that, and she’s 3 weeks! I woke her up every 2-2.5 hours during the day to eat, then let her sleep up until 3.5 hours during the night. It really helped. Now she eats every 3 during the day, 4 at night. It gets better!

sounds like cluster feeding. mine is doing it too. I'm actually trying to research ways to stop cluster feeding so he will sleep longer stretches at night..

It's a struggle. mine ate from 9:30-12:30 and then was up at 3am and still going strong at 6am. cluster feeding is exhausting 😪😭

Yep, second what Haley said.  They have their nights mixed up.  We seem to be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel as my daughter slept three hours, then five hours.  My boobs...and my sheets...paid for the five hour stretch.

I fed my baby every 2.5 hours during the day, even if it meant I woke her up. Then she went more like every 4 hours at night

My doctor said first two / four weeks to wake baby and nurse every 2-3hrs.
