Do you think it’s wrong for parents to pry information from grandchildren??

AR

I’m really irritated. I took my kids to my parents’ house so I could go to an appt. Later today, my son told me my mom asked him who’s been smoking because she “smelled it”. First, no one in my house smokes. Second, it bothers me because my mom is very nosy and prying. When I lived there she would go through my room for no reason and there’s been other situations (even as an adult) that I feel cross some boundaries. She has also asked my kids questions before about things that I prefer she just ask me.

I just find this to be very sneaky and untrustworthy to ask MY children questions about what goes on at my house behind my back.

Am I overreacting?

Do you think it’s acceptable for grandparents to “question” their grandchildren when they are over?? Or do you think grandparents have the right to ask/know certain things?
