sex before 6 weeks?

so im about to be 3 weeks pp in 2 days, last night I got a bit tipsy and things got really heated between me and my husband etc... long story short we had sex (my tipsy brain initiating) and he ____ inside. any insight on this? I don't even know what questions to ask or what I'm looking to hear, i just want some sort of advice and/ or reassurance I guess. anything?

You need to be cleared by a doctor before having sex after giving birth. This is because the cervix needs to close or else you risk infection, which can be very serious.

And please go to your doctor asap to make sure you didn’t bring on an infection or tear anything inside.
They tell you to wait 6 weeks for a reason.

I’m not gonna jump on the you should have waited bus bc I had sex at 3w4days pp and my pp appointment was the next day and I was cleared and everything was fine. I think it’s case to case basis and not the same for everyone... depends on tears and bleeding from delivery and your body’s healing time but just know there’s good chance you are fine! Just see your doctor for reassurance 😊 oh and are you breastfeeding exclusively? If so the first 6 weeks you are covered pretty good for protection. Not 100% but it helps.

I had sex after my third child about 2 or 3 weeks after and I was fine physically BUT I did get pregnant straight away and that was only from one time, you are SUPER fertile after a baby. I am currently two weeks post baby now but havnt had sex yet. There is always a risk of infection if you have it too soon. But this time round we have condoms on stand by lol just in case because I have to wait a couple of months  before I can have my iud put in xx. Just be careful babe xx
