I’ve been debating going to cosmetology school for a little while now. I was going to start last September but found out I was pregnant which made it not possible to do at that moment. I should be having my baby girl any day now, and I’m starting to think of maybe going to cosmetology school in the fall. The problem is that I’d have to go part time (can’t afford child care but my dad could babysit my daughter part time), and the only part time programs near me I haven’t heard the best things about. One is well known to just flat out suck, and the other I’ve heard through friends isn’t the best but I don’t know any people who have had first hand experiences there. Do you think it would be worth going to a place that maybe isn’t the best, just to get certified? I’m the type of person that when it comes to hair, nails, makeup, etc. I can teach myself just about anything. As much as I’d obviously want to learn everything I can, I’m wondering if it’s worth it to get my certificate anyways, knowing I might have to spend time teaching myself stuff since the program might not be the best.
