Lost friends?!

Has anyone else lost friends?! I was 4 weeks ahead of my best friend, I lost mine she didn’t. I don’t have a best friend anymore... she doesn’t talk to me and ask how I’m going! Has this happened to anyone else?! Feeling so defeated and lonely

I don't know if this will help, but I'm part of a pregnancy loss group that shared an article a mom wrote on exactly this. It was posted today so maybe I'm meant to share it with you. I don't think I have lost any friends yet, but the ones that were hanging by a thread are pretty much gone. I have definitely learned who my true friends are by their support. We lost our baby boy 3 months ago today. Ezekiel's due date is also in 2 months to the day. and in 4 months we will reach our 2nd wedding anniversary. So today is a hard day. Lost all my friends except 2 I just realized everybody was in my face just to be nosy..my best friend of 8 years texted me every day to check on me after my miscarriage nobody checked on me or even replies to me now when I try to make sure they are okay smh

Hello. Sorry to hear about your loss. It’s rubbish that she is ignoring you but it could just be that she is afraid she’ll upset you and doesn’t know what to do or she may be a bit consumed by her pregnancy and other things going on in her life at the moment and not realise how you’re likely to be feeling. On the other hand maybe she just isn’t a great friend. I have found that as I get older and more things happen, many of my female friends stop bothering or we drift apart. It’s sad but unfortunately it does happen for all sorts of reasons. Try not to be too sad though I can imagine how you feel! Maybe try reaching out to her and calmly and gently let her know that you feel alone and you need her in your life and then if she doesn’t bother at least a little in the future you’re probably better off without her unfortunately.  x
