Is it normal to burn while peeing 4 days pp?

The vaginal burning has gotten worse in the last couple days! It always burned somewhat since giving birth vaginally. I didn’t actually tear, just have superficial tears that the dr described as being like a rug burn. But is it normal for it to get worse before it gets better? Or is something wrong?

Day 5 was the worst for me. I had internal labial tears. After that it was about 4 or 5 more days before the burning went away. Keep using the water bottle to rinse and you can also put tucks pads on your panty liner to help.

Are you using the water bottle to rinse after you go to the bathroom and drip drying or just wiping? You could be tearing it further and it could be causing infection or your vagina is still sore and pain meds arent as effective. Ice packs were my best friend in the hospital they offered the first one to me and i had to request for another one.

It is normal to burn when peeing after birth but I can’t remember how many days is the “norm” it is because of all the trauma down there regardless of whether you tore or not. When you have the next baby check up with midwife or doctor or whoever it is you see, maybe run it by them
