May 16, 2018 I fell & landed on my my belly. I got scared. I called the doctor and went to see him. He checked my cervix and said I was 2cm.

It wasn’t caused by the fall since apparently I started to dilate the week before. He told me to go to the hospital to get checked as he was worried I may be in labor. My husband picks me up & off we went.

I was hooked on to the monitors, baby’s heartbeat was great but I was having some contractions. I was given magnesium. I stayed overnight at the hospital to be monitored. Some time Thursday morning my membrane ruptured.

The doctor said I could possibly give birth any day but the goal was to hopefully wait till I was 34 weeks.

At 34 weeks, I was induced around 8:30am. Boy oh boy, contractions were not fun so I was given pain med through the IV. Made me sleepy so I slept while my mom & hubby went to have lunch.

When I woke up my contractions were stronger and I was feeling the pressure to go poop. Thankfully my mom & hubby had gotten back on time. AThe nurse checked & said I was 8m. I begged her to let me push as the urge to do so was strong.

Not too long was it time to start pushing. Nurse called the doctor & with my mom ( who flew from Jersey Thursday last week to stay with me & help get the house together) & hubby by my side I started to push. 10-15 minutes later, my precious son was born.

He came out screaming, breathing on his own, and very pink. The NICU staff gave him a double 10 especially for a 34 weeks baby. They placed him in my arms to hold before taking him to the NICU.

He will be in the NICU till he is able to keep warm & eat. May have to stay at the hospital for 1-3 weeks depending how he is doing. He is a very good eater. I’m finally producing milk but since I wasn’t right away, the NICU has been providing him donated breastmilk.

Yesterday nurse said he had a bit of Jaundice so they put him under the light and should be ok in a day or two. Other than that, he’s been doing good. I will update soon! :)
