Please help a sister out 😕

So my boyfriend and I started dating three months ago, met him when I went home for vacation (love at first sight). I traveled back to school a month after we met and I’m not returning till after a year. We talk or text almost everyday, we’re very cool. He cheated on me last month, got to know this month and asked him, he admitted to it and asked me to forgive him. Should I forgive him because it’s a long distance relationship and he probably couldn’t control himself or should I break up with him? I still love him though.Please help, I’m confused.
