So myself and my partner have been talking about future plans for children in our near future.

We both where Christened when we where babies but we aren’t religious.

We don’t go to church or take part in anything religious.

We are both believers of that there is “something” afterlife but we just aren’t sure what.

My uncle and his family aren’t a believer either so when my aunt and uncle had their baby they had a celebration party to celebrate the life of their newborn baby.

I suggested that it was a good idea to get family all around together at the same time but my partner is insisting he wants our children to be christened.

I’ve asked why and he said he wants it done.

Has anyone ever done this before
