Tummy time??

So my daughter who will be 4 months on the 2nd. HATES TUMMY TIME we never get the full 30 mins a day we need, she cries so much.  But she loves sitting in her booster and can hold her head up and move it without falling everywhere.. I’m just super worried bc she’s like so fat(dr said she’s on the chunky side for her height)  and when she does tummy time she just lies flat and breathes hard like it hurts 😭😭😭 what do I do to make it better for her 😭

30 minutes at 3m?! Omg mine also hates it we can barely get 3 minutes each time before he has a meltdown

My little guy hates tummy time. I just make sure he gets lots of time where he's sitting propped up in my lap or being held vertically so he can work on his neck strength. Our pediatrician wasn't concerned at all.

You really don’t need to do tummy time like everyone says you do. You do what’s best for your baby! My mom said she never did it with me or my brother when we were that small. Honestly it’s just something new that everyone’s obsessed over. My son hates it too

..her weight shouldn't be a worry. my sons a chunk. he will barely do tummy time because he just gets mad that he cant go foward..he kicks and kicks lol...he ends up with his face in his blanket trying to go foward.  have you tried putting a rolled up blanket under her for support? try doing it for a min or so only. My son hated it for a while and doing it for a min with a rolled up blanket helped. on top of me laying in front of him and getting his attention. or even using a mirror.

I try and do it for 5 mins a couple of times I the day, until they like it don’t force them as they just get stressed. I also give my lil girl time lying on my chest during the day which still counts as tummy time but they enjoy it more as they aren’t just looking at the floor 😂

My son isn’t a fan either. I only get maybe 10 minutes a day out of him at a time. I do have a mini pillow that I can put under his chest to get a few extra minutes.  I end up sticking him on his back first in the play gym, then gently rolling him to his belly, and making a obnoxious fuss over him when he is lifting his head, which usually allows him to be happy enough to stay there for a while. Then as soon as he starts to fuss I help him roll from belly to back (he just did this in this own at 11 weeks) then wait till he is happy again and do the process over again. I worked up to 15 minutes of tummy time and try and do it twice a day. Morning and afternoon!

You can put a boppy pillow under her cheats and put a toy with a mirror in front so she can watch herself but my daughter (2yrs now) hated it also and liked to sit up so I would put her in her sit me up chair and she reached every milestone early and is perfectly fine as long as they arnt constantly on their back because it can cause a flat spot.
