How do you know when to move baby to there own room?

My question is how will I know when to move my son to his room. He has been sleeping in my room since he was born. He will be 11 months old on the 1st. He started sleeping in his crib about 3 weeks ago. I’m ok with him in my room but would like him in his. The big problem for me is his room is on the main floor and my room is upstairs. He not sleeping through the night yet. Close but he wakes if he goes pee. He cry if I put him in his crib when he awake but fella asleep on his floor in his room last night. I just don’t know. My husband says to want longer but he not home at night so I don’t think he knows.
