The sink was out of the counter

Cassie

I've been wanting to post this for a while now so here we go! February 26 we woke early at 8am because the maintenance crew was coming out to fix a leak at our apartment, but I guess you can't really call it getting up early, if you never actually went to sleep that night. At 39 weeks exactly I was just incredibly uncomfortable and could get comfy no matter what I tried. Around 9:30am maintenance is in the middle of fixing everything, they had to put in an entire new sink which was currently out of the counter. I'm scrolling through this app on my phone on the couch with my Fiance when I hear a pop. I just freeze for a second..... Me:"I'm going to get in the shower, my water broke." (weirdest feeling ever) My fiance: "Are you sure?" Me: "*Gives him a look* YES" (LOL) When I get out of shower and go down back down, my contractions start getting stronger.( up until my water broke I hadn't had any all day) And now the all male maintenance crew is panicking thinking I'm going to have the baby there and not be able to get to the hospital. lol So we head out, around 10:30am we get there and they get me checked out and transferred to a delivery room. YAY!! Around 11am, I'm dialated to a 4. 2 hours later, a 6. Now the contractions are starting to get pretty painful so I decide to get an epidural, which ended up going pretty well. (Well, I didn't cry At least, like I thought I would. It wasn't really that bad.) Which ended up slowing my labor down, so they give me 1mg of potocin or whatever the lowest dosage is. Everyone ends up going to get snacks and things expecting it to be awhile and they come back and check me around 4pm, I'm now at 8cm. My fiance is awesome and plays music to distract me. Then at 5pm I start getting the urge to push. By now I can feel every contraction and I'm fighting just to eat my popcicles. But I'm only at 9cm so they have me wait. I end up joking around with our moms and my Fiance in between contractions. Maybe 20 minutes later the contractions are coming less than every 30 seconds and are extremely painful and I feel like pushing to the point I feel like I can't stop now. They come in and cnoheck and it's finally time. 30 minutes of pushing later, and our son Jace was born at 5:56pm Febuary 26th.

My fiance and are son Jace ❤

I spent most of my labor watching pulp fiction and eating popcicles

Watching Wrestling when we got back to the room.

Our little Planeswalker Baby 3 months later. (we are nerds lol our sons name came from Magic The Gathering)
