I said yes because if you can’t be honest it’s because your not ready to admit it to yourself. I still haven’t told one of my best friends about a crush I think I have because I’m not sure I’m ready

If you think “X wouldn’t respond well if I told him/her the truth” then you shouldn’t be friends with this person. I was best friends with a girl who would react poorly whenever I told her something. She was always disapproving and manipulative towards me.
