Lena Cups Have Changed My Period Forever!

Chantel

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I've continued my birth control for an extra week, or held off on taking a poo for one more day just to delay my period for that special day, or week that I don't want to deal with my period.

Well about 3 weeks ago I started a super heavy period. Heaviest one yet, and I was about to go on a cruise so I was starting to pack. I started running short on tampons and pads because, with no exaggeration, I was going through 4-5 tampons, and 5-6 pads a day. And sometimes I had to double up. 2 hours pass and I'm soaked again. Worst period ever.

So here I am, trying to pack, and debating how many I'll need for this next week (Some of my periods have lasted a whole month, super irregular) Then I remembered the whole "safer for your body, safer for the environment" thing that Diva Cups, Lena Cups, and other brands like that had mentioned. So I decided to check them out.

On Amazon, I found the Lena Cup, it came in two sizes, and colors of my choosing. Plus it was Prime, so I was able to get it before we left on the cruise.

The instructions were super clear, it showed different ways to insert it, and some history on it. When I first tried it out, I still had on a pad just in case I didn't insert it right on the first try.

Apparently I did though, so 3 hours later, the pad was still clear. I was still able to use the bathroom normally, and after 5 minutes of it being in there I couldn't even feel it anymore.

As an extra positive it helped with the back pain and cramps that's come from my period. I no longer dread my period, and I definitely don't attempt to delay it anymore. I will never again waste money on that one time use paper.

*if you're kinda weird like me, you'll enjoy dumping it out every time like I do. :D
