Period Question

So ever since I've had my 1st daughter my periods have been wonky... I now have 3 kids the youngest being 6 months... My periods have always been somewhat heavy but this may b TMI but I really don't think I should b going thru the super plus tampons and onto a pad within an hour??? Do i need to call my OB and ask?? Also I had my tubes removed after baby #3..
