brief backstory: my husband and I lost our first pregnancy at 22 weeks nearly a year ago. we are pregnant again- due in August. we are being very low key & only recently announced our pregnancy. we decided that we don't want a baby shower because it makes me too sad.

friends & family have been asking us to send them "lists" of things we want. my husband an I are 100% okay with and are financially able to buy baby things on our own. I don't want to send a list..I could have had a shower. how would you politely decline this?

I have had family & friends buy us some baby items and I am SO APPRECIATIVE.. but for others asking for a list, it's just uncomfortable!
