Can you feel the baby pushing on the cervix?

This may seem silly but last week at my appointment I was 70% effaced and 2cm dilated. Tonight I keep feeling this push on what I assume is my cervix? Is that possible or is there another explanation.

I feel it every day always around night time it seems to be the worst. I just got home from Walmart and at first it was fine and I was walking around for about an hour.. by the time we were paying I had to sit down because I was in so much pain from the baby pushing down I could feel the pain shooting down my legs.
