How often does your baby cry?

My son is 6 weeks old and is crying a lot more during the day! I know he also tends to have gas but we do everything we can to help him (he drinks a hypoallergenic formula, switched his bottles, burp him, give him gas drops, etc) but he still cries. We can change him, feed him, and sit him down to play and he cries. It’s almost like he gets bored super easy and just cries to cry 🤷🏼‍♀️ 
Anyone have any advice or tips? And how much does your baby cry? Is this normal?

6 wk olds don’t often like to sit and play. They prefer to be held or in a swing.

Here are things to try, my middle child was a heavy crier.
1. Swaddle in a swing
2. Swaddle and rock
3. Play white noise (this almost immediately would calm my son down for a few minutes)
4. Gripe Water by Momma Bliss
5. bicycle their legs to help gas
6. Put in baby carrier and bounce around
7. Lay in a arm tubby with them or a warm shower and hold them with their belly on your chest and let the warm water their back.
