Early ultrasound today- 5+2- what to expect?

I’ve seen on here that some people see just the gestational sac, some also see the yolk sac and a heartbeat. What’s typical? What did you see, if you had an early ultrasound? My doctor is only sending me because I’ve had light brown/pink spotting for the last week.

i had an ultrasound around 5 weeks because we had no idea how far along i was.  you could only see a little sac.  looked like a little black circle on the screen....which isn't abnormal that early along (the baby is just soo tiny at that point).  i went back at 9 weeks and at that point could see the heartbeat.  im now 23 weeks.

Turns out they think I’m earlier than 5 weeks- there was a gestational sac present, but too small to date. I’ll be seeing my doctor in two days to go over the scans and my blood work.

That was my first ultrasound exactly but only bc we thought I was 8 weeks. Only saw the sacs. No fetal pole or heartbeat. Everyone is different though!

Thanks for the replies, ladies! It’s so different from person to person that it’s hard not to want to see that heartbeat even though it’s highly unlikely at this point.
