Little baby girl🎀

Sk

Monday, May 21st at 7am we had a scheduled induction due to high blood pressure. I was exactly 37 weeks. The nurse told me the previous week to make sure I ate breakfast, so we stopped at a little diner near where we live that’s owned by a family friend, where the only ones that are their early are the local farmers. Wendy, the owner, took our order and asked when our little girl was going to be here, we both eagerly said today! We ate, Wendy brought us the bill, set it upside down and told us good luck! Wendy paid for our breakfast! We got to the hospital, got in my gown, and all settled. My doctor came in and checked my cervix, I wasn’t dilated but soft, so she inserted a pill that was suppose to hopefully make me dilate in 4 hours. I was checked again at noon, no progress, so I was started on pitocin. I started to have small contractions like period cramps and had a really bad headache. I walked and bounced on a peanut ball all afternoon to try and speed things up, but when doctor checked me again at 5pm, I still made no progress. So she decided to try cervidil, which looked kind of like a shoe string and was to be taken out in 12 hours. She cleared me to eat and my hubby went and got McDonalds, not the healthiest but I wanted fries! We went to bed around 11pm, woke up at 6 and I took a shower and ordered breakfast. The doctor came in at 7am and checked me and took the cervidil out, I was 1 whopping centimeter so I was started on pitocin again. After starting that, things sped up ALOT and it’s hard for me to remember exactly what happened. I started having contractions like no other and was given fentynal for pain. I was moved to the delivery room a couple hours later and given more fentynal before the epidural to hold me over. I was checked again and I was 5cm so my doctor broke my water. I remember having a breakdown just before the anesthesiologist came in for the epidural because I was so overwhelmed with how fast everything was moving. After the epidural I could only feel the contractions in my butt, which weren’t pleasant at all. I kept telling the nurse that I didn’t think the epidural was working because I could feel my legs. I was checked and was at 7, then again and at 8, then the last time 9.5 and hung around there for a couple hours along with contractions that were painful. Everything seems kind of blurry thinking about it and I was given oxygen because I had a hard time breathing. Finally at 5pm I was at 10cm and began pushing with my mom and hubby in the room. I pushed for 2 hours and at 7:10pm Lynlee made her way into the world! It was the most amazing and painful experience of my life but it was so worth it.❤️
