“Perfect” age gap between children?

I want my children to be close and grow up with a great relationship. What’s the “perfect” age gap to make this easier?

My sister and i are 4 years apart and i think its a good distance. We are super super close but we hangout a lot and we sometimes seem each other age even tho shes 4 years older than me

2-3 years. Ds was just over 2 1/2 when dd was born. I love their gap. Of course they argue but it’s never that bad. They love each other to death. Teenage years will probably bring more issues but I think that’s to be expected. My little brother is 7 1/2 years younger than me. We weren’t close when we were younger but no matter how much he annoyed me I was his protector. Now at 22 and almost 30 we are best friends. Going off the younger years I never thought we’d be super close.
