When to return to work??

Canada gives you up to 18 months. But I’ll be taking 12!

I’m also from Canada and will be taking a full 14 months off so I can enjoy the summer without worrying about returning to work mid-summer.

Six weeks with vaginal delivery, 8 weeks with c-section, with 60% pay (at my job)But have to have a doctors permission to return to work.

I’ll be going back after 3ish months. I run my own business and have no medical or maternity leave. If I’m not working, I’m not making money. Hubs and I started a savings account years ago to save up enough to cover bills/mortgage while I take time off.

I'm gonna follow this. I'm also curious. my work gives me up to 12 months off after, not sure I will take that full amount tho. I was thinking 3 months.

I started part time after 13 months but it's partly because I've got another baby coming very soon.
if dad had been able to take parental leave I think nine months of leave would have worked well. he was eating plenty of solid food so the breastfeeding demand was much lower on me which would have made it possible for someone else to care for him pretty easily.
