every time I've been pregnant, I've told my close friends right away, before the sonogram. the advice I heard that stuck with me is that if you do end up miscarrying, you would want to have support from your close friends. you should tell them about the pregnancy so they can be happy for you now and be there for you later, no matter the result. I did end up having a miscarriage before i had my now 14 month old girl, and I dont regret telling my friends. it was better that I did because they checked in after my bad appt and I dont think I would have reached out so quickly. and then the second time when I had the good appt that lead to my girl, my friends were so supportive! so now I'm 5 weeks and have told them again.
