So my boyfriend usually says he doesn’t want kids.

But he has told me he really likes that I am good with children.

I’ve told him maybe I should get permanent birth control, but he said no just in case he does one day want kids.

He will say things like “When I have kids...” or even “Our kids will/won’t...” as if it is a possibility.

He doesn’t get weirded out if I talk the same way.

We are both 25 and definitely not in a place to have any yet. And this isn’t a total make or break situation. The only real problem I had with it was last week I had a pregnancy scare (just got my period yesterday) and it increases the anxiety.

He would make a great father but I was just worried about the whole him not wanting any.

It’s not that I don’t know what to do since this all isn’t a huge issue for me.

I just feel like sometimes he does want kids, eventually, but he just says he doesn’t to keep the conversation short and sweet.

Just looking for opinions.
