To all the Women that were called "too bold"

I am a somewhat confident girl. If i see a guy i like who I think I might have a chance at imma shoot my shot. I don't mind approaching guys and being straight up about it. For centuries Woman have been told to be submissive and "wait for the man." I think it's a shame that there is still stigma. Since when is it "too dominant," or "very bold," for a girl to speak her mind. Why wait for him to do something you could have done yourself? Why wait around for something you could be meant to pursuit? I see nothing wrong with pursuing someone you like. My mom gets upset with me and said i should, "wait for the man to approach you. If he likes you, then he will talk to you." This tickles me hehehehehehe. *breaks out into animal laughter* (don't mind my crazy self) I mean I see her point. It is human nature to go after what you desire. So if he sees something he wants and tried at it then what's wrong with a woman having that same enthusiasm. Whats wrong with initiating dates? Whats wrong with being straight up? Whats wrong with speak your mind? Whays wrong with asking questions?Boys have always told me there first impression of me is confident and I don't see a thing wrong with that. So my message to all you woman is to own whatever personality you have. If your a go getter go get it then. If you not you not. But don't let society's gender role expectations limit you. You could miss serious opportunities and I know I have in the past because I suppressed myself. Doing this ruined my chance at many relationship opportunities. So just be you and be confident for yourself.
