Not pregnant nor breastfeeding, but lactating?!😱

I started my period this morning. As I'm sitting on the couch watching tv with my husband, I noticed some white stuff on my right nipple (No, I wasn't wearing a shirt or bra). When I checked it, it had the consistency of milk. I squeezed it and it came out a little more. Is that normal? I'm 23 and this is the first this happens to me. I'm a little freaked out!

When you stimulate your nipples for a while (foreplay, sucking on them, pinching, etc.), your brain begins to think it's a baby so you produce milk. That's normal. But if it leaks out without stimulation, then that means you're producing excess prolactin, the hormone that tells your brain to produce milk. There might be something wrong with your pituitary glad. That is not normal and should notify your doctor right away.

I'd go to the doctor if I were you. I had this happen to me last year and I actually had/have a tumor in there that I couldn't even feel but showed up on an ultrasound. I was 25.
