What was your first experience like when you started your period?

My first experience was when I was 12 last year I’m 13 now , but I knew I was going to start because my stomach had horrible cramping so I spoke to my mum because it was my first time and then she got me pads and tablets etc, and then as it goes my period started x 
What age and where did your period start?

was 11 years old. in 5th grade. in math class. thought my bladder was leaking a bit so I asked to go to the bathroom.... saw blood n was like "dammit" cuz I had reading tutoring that day after school. was too scared to go to the nurse and used toilet paper. thank god my period wasn't heavy bk then.

I was 11 years old and all I remember from it was my mother not believing me that I got it and that she told me that I was never allowed to use tampons.

I was 12, I woke up with it panicked and woke my mum looking for dark underwear and having a panic attack. I'm so glad my mum had talked me about periods before hand.

I was 13 and scared to tell anyone because I didn’t wanna go to the hospital (had no idea what was going on). Thought it was melted m&ms;
