My blood test had come back and I received a call this morning about them. She let me know that levels of protein in my sample put me on high risk for spina bifida and neural tube defects. She did say that the blood test is really outdated and ultrasound is used as a diagnostic. All of my ultrasounds so far have reported normal development. She has scheduled an extra scan for this Friday and has warned me that it will be lengthy and focused on anatomy development and looking for SB markers. She said not to worry - which automatically makes me worry. Anyone else been flagged up at this screening?
